We award impactful ideas!

The University of Vienna seeks to apply its vast amount of knowledge outside academic environments to the benefit of the social, cultural and economic development. With the Entrepreneurship award, we recognise the effort done by entrepreneurs toward innovation to meet societal challenges.

The award is for students from the University of Vienna, alumni, and staff who started or are going to start innovative ventures bringing forth positive change. The legal form of the ventures awarded could range from not-for-profit to business.

In 2024, the award ceremony took place during the Entrepreneurship Night. Out of 26 applicants, we awarded one start-up, Magmatic Bio, in the general category and one, Clickwise, in the student-led category. Learn more about them in the videos below.
